mikehoolboom Inspired by the work of the great Gordon Hempton (who remains the gold standard) there is a rare delicacy to some of these recordings, the faint trickle of water, or even the thunderous roar of ocean waves offset by a high pitched shimmer of foam. Favorite track: The Roar and Trickle of the Ocean.

about

This catalog of soundscapes features recordings made during the summer of 2017 over a 16 day backpacking trip in Olympic National Park. My biggest source of inspiration for this work is Gordon Hempton's "One Square Inch of Silence" project, a conservation effort to keep human noise pollution out of National Parks.
